Frequently asked questions
These are the questions producers and organisers ask us most. If yours is not here, send it through the contact page and we will answer it directly.
What kinds of productions do you support?
We work on television programmes, presenter-led shows, live broadcasts, conferences, concerts and other media events. Support can cover cameras, lighting, audio, routing and crew coordination. We can take on one area or several, depending on what your own team already covers and where you want a second pair of hands.
Can you help with just one part, such as lighting or audio?
Yes. Many clients only need one discipline, such as a lighting plan or a microphone and mixing plan. We scope the work to what you ask for. If we notice a related issue, such as audio affecting camera placement, we will mention it, but we will not add services you did not request.
Where do you work?
Our office is in Taunton, and we work in studios, venues and event spaces in the surrounding region and further afield when a project needs it. If travel affects the proposal, we say so in the written quotation, so there are no surprises when the invoice arrives.
How do I start an enquiry?
Use the contact form on the contact page, or phone or email us. Tell us the format, venue, dates and crew size. We will reply with any questions, then send a written quotation. Nothing is booked or charged until you have read and confirmed that quotation.
What do I need to prepare before we talk?
A rough description of the show is enough: format, live or recorded, venue and approximate dates. A floor plan, shot list or equipment inventory helps if you have one. If you do not, we can work out the details together during the first conversation.
How is pricing worked out?
Prices depend on the services chosen, the length and complexity of the production, venue conditions and the amount of preparation needed. The Prices page sets out what each service costs and what is included. For your job, you receive a written quotation before any commitment is made.
How do I pay?
After you confirm the quotation in writing, we issue an invoice, which you pay by bank transfer. There is no online checkout or card payment on this site. The invoice states exactly what is covered and when payment is due.
What happens if I need to cancel or change plans?
Cancellations and changes are handled under our payment and refund policy, which you can read on the Payment and Refunds page. If your plans shift, tell us as early as you can and we will explain what it means for the quotation.
