Client Feedback

Comments from producers and organisers about how we plan, rehearse and support their shows.

In their words

What clients say about working with us

The lighting and camera setup was planned well before we arrived, and rehearsal ran to time. Our presenters looked consistent across all three cameras, and the crew understood the system by the end of the second day.

Rachel OrmerodSeries producer, regional television programme
  • Audio was the thing I worried about in a large hall. Speech stayed clear throughout, and the monitoring plan meant we caught problems before the audience did.

Martin Padgett · Conference organiser, Somerset
  • Clear notes, sensible questions and a calm gallery on the day. The routing was labelled so well that our own engineers could pick it up afterwards.

Sophie Challinor · Director, live event broadcast
  • We booked portrait sessions for our presenters and the stills matched the look of the programme. The process was organised and unhurried.

Preparation counts most

Clients tend to remember how smoothly rehearsal went, not the equipment list. That reflects how much of our time goes into planning before anyone arrives: floor plans, shot lists, routing diagrams and a clear run-of-show. When those are agreed in advance, the day itself becomes quieter and decisions are easier to make. We keep refining how we prepare because it is the part of the work that most affects everyone else on set.

Communication on the day

Producers and directors often mention that they knew what was happening and who to ask. We keep intercom, cue sheets and briefings simple, and we speak plainly when something needs to change. A calm gallery makes better decisions under pressure. We would rather say early that a plan needs adjusting than let a small issue travel through to transmission, where fixing it is much harder.

Leaving the crew confident

A recurring theme is that crews felt able to run the system afterwards. We write handover notes, label cabling and walk operators through each position. The aim is that your team is not dependent on us for every show. When they feel comfortable with the equipment, they work faster, and the programme benefits long after our involvement has finished.
